This session is designed to help participants enhance their understanding of the critical incident multiple choice exam format. Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate their own knowledge by working collaboratively with colleagues through discussion and participation of sample questions and possible solutions for the NPPA.

Learning Objectives:

• Techniques for assessment-based exams
• Tips and suggestions for analyzing HR scenarios and solutions

Materials:
In addition to the classroom experience, participants will receive a manual of potential exam questions

Facilitator:
Scott Laing has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), as well as having completed many other diplomas and certificates in the fields of HR, IT and Adult Education. He has held several HR related positions and has been teaching at community colleges and universities for several years. He holds the CHRP designation.

Cancellation Policy:
A full refund, less a $25 administration fee (plus tax), will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Friday, January 15 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will be invoiced for the full workshop fee. Cancellations received in writing prior to noon on Friday, January 15, 2010 will only be charged the administration fee. Substitutions are permitted up to the day of the event. Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions.

**Seating is Limited**
If you wish to participate in the HRANS CHRP NPPA Facilitated Learning before the May 2010 exam, register for this session early as another one may not be held prior to the May 2010 exam.

Please note:
Registration for the May 2010 exam is done separately. Exam registration will be open from January 20 to March 1, 2010. If you are also planning to write the exam in May 2010, you must also register for the exam separately by March 1, 2010.
